Chair Designer 3.0 Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of Chair Designer 3.0 to help contract furniture customers better plan for their projects.

This is a new iteration of Chair Designer 2.0, originally launched in May 2017. Dara Mir, President of 9to5 Seating explains, “We are excited to launch Chair Designer 3.0! Our team has worked tirelessly to further enhance our Chair Designer to meet the needs of our customers and Sales Reps. Our goal is to make our Chair Designer the best chair customizer and project spec tool within our industry.”

List of enhancements included in the launch of Chair Designer 3.0.:

  1. 2018 Price Book updates
  2. Users can login and maintain their user profile
  3. Users can now maintain their project history
  4. Users can upload their company logo to customize a bid
  5. Users will be able to manage their existing projects i.e. edit, remove, copy and re-download the project.
  6. Users will be able to save a project in progress or clear the project.
  7. Users will be able to specify custom price for each configured item.
  8. Users will have an option to include or exclude pricing information from the product specification pdf.
  9. Users can add tags/descriptions for configured chairs. If added, tags will also appear in downloadable project PDF
  10. Downloadable project PDF has opt-in to include a project summary
  11. Users can subscribe to the newsletter from Chair Designer

2. Furniture Donation to Goodwill

Goodwill is an American nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who have barriers preventing them from otherwise obtaining a job.

 

3. Donation to City of Hope

City of Hope is best known as a cancer treatment center. It has been designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. City of Hope has also been ranked one of the nation’s Best Cancer Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for over ten years and is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

 

4. Donation to Norton’s Children Hospital

Norton Children’s Hospital, formerly Kosair Children’s Hospital, is a hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Established in 1892 as Children’s Free Hospital, part of Norton Healthcare. It is nationally ranked among the top 50 children’s hospitals in the country.

2018 Price List Now Available

The 9to5 Seating Price List is now available online at 9to5Seating.com\downloads.

Effective January 1, 2018, there will be a price increase for various chair series. The increase is an average of 1%. A price increase is necessary due to higher global cost of raw materials and components. The price increase will not affect all of 9to5 Seating chair series. The following chair series will not increase: Brio, Cosmo, Logic, Shuttle, Strata, Theory, @NCE, Acclaim, Core, Diddy, Sophie and Zoom.

Orders using the 2017 pricing will be accepted through December 31, 2017. Registration for old price protection will be accepted through December 31, 2017 for orders that can be shipped no later than March 31, 2108.

The new Price Book also includes the launch of five new products for 2018: Lilly lounge seating, Luna task seating, Neo task seating, Mimi guest & stacking and Sol executive seating. These five new introductions expand upon 9to5 Seating’s dedication to making workplaces more comfortable, one chair at a time.

The 2018 Price Book is ready for download at www.9to5Seating.com\downloads.   Printed versions will be distributed starting week of December 11, 2017.

Pricing, changes and additions will be updated in the 20/20 CAP/Giza/Worksheet December DVD/Web release. The Chair Designer on 9to5 Seating’s website will be updated January 1,2018.

President Dara Mir, was recently featured in the Fall 2017 issue of the USC Viterbi magazine. Dara Mir, a 2002 Industrial & Systems Engineering graduate, shares the unique vertical integration story of 9to5 Seating and features the major reshoring effort we have focused on for the past five years.

Navy BPA at 9to5 Seating

The U.S. Department of Navy (DON) has awarded 9to5 Seating a Blanket Purchase Agreement. The Navy’s Furniture BPA program went into effect October 1, 2017 and is set to expire in five years.

9to5 Seating’s Furniture BPA pertains to the following GSA SINs: 711-18: Multi-purpose Seating

9to5 Seating Launches New Brand Campaign

9to5 Seating launches new brand campaign to underline its dedicated approach to providing quality and value to its customers, by ingraining the approach in every aspect of its operation.

The objective of the brand campaign is to communicate the company’s new tagline, “The difference is in the details” both internally and externally. 9to5 Seating worked with a Los Angeles boutique marketing agency to explore the company’s culture, mission, values and positioning. An internal brand campaign will be launched to staff, while consumers will experience a campaign that allows them to visualize the brand’s new tagline.

Dara Mir, President of 9to5 Seating said, “Our new company tagline emphasizes how 9to5 Seating is steadfastly committed, at every point in our operation, to provide the best quality and value for our customers. We believe that by sweating the small stuff and doing all the little things right, we’re able to offer a better chair at a better value. We think that’s pretty huge.”

This campaign follows the success of the latest advertising campaign, “The Secret is Out,” which focused on the unique company history, its vertical integration and reshoring priority of 9to5 Seating. The campaign was launched in Business of Furniture magazine and was also featured at this year’s NeoCon. The new brand campaign includes digital and social media promotion.

What’s New at NeoCon 2017

We had a great NeoCon and want to thank our staff and everyone who visited the showroom. NeoCon requires a lot of planning and work but our dedicated team helped bring it all together.

This year, we launched our “The Secret is Out” campaign and from the traffic in the showroom, we can tell the message was well received. We wanted showroom visitors to learn more about what makes up our secret: our unique story, our reshoring effort, the vertical integration of our manufacturing process, forward thinking in terms of design and operations, and, of course, our people.

From our showroom update, display of new 2018 products and updated 2017 products, brand video playing on the showroom monitors, launch of our brand new website and Chair Designer 2.0 the unique story and positioning of 9to5 Seating was definitely loud and clear!
