In celebration of NeoCon 50 and in line with our “Be Inspired” part of our NeoCon theme, we’re giving away a chair to three lucky winners, every day of NeoCon.

HOW TO ENTER:

  1. Visit the 9to5 Seating showroom, 10th floor suite #109, during NeoCon, 6/11-6/13/18
  2. Take a photo or selfie with one of our new chairs: Lilly, Luna, Neo or Mimi. Post your selfie on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag @9to5seating #win9to5seating. Make sure that your profile is public, so that we can find your post.
  3. Three winners will be randomly chosen. Winners will be announced on 9to5 Seating social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Winners will also be sent a DM via social media. Winner must reply to the DM or to the email address provided in the DM. Instructions on how prize fulfillment will be provided by email.
  4. Winner can choose one Lilly, Luna, Neo or Mimi and a fabric with Grade D or lower.

Bella – 12 New Plastic Colors

9to5 Seating launches twelve new plastic colors to one of their most popular seating series – Bella.

Twelve new colors include: Federal Blue, Crimson Red, Tangerine Orange, Lemon Yellow, Apple Green, Lagoon Blue, Azure Blue, Latte, Cloud Gray, Dove Gray, Black Swan and White Whisper.

The introduction of twelve new plastic colors enhances the Bella series, a multi-purpose chair that includes stacking, nesting, task and task stool models.

“Our Bella series is one of our most popular chair series, and to expand on its popularity with the introduction of twelve new plastic colors will be an exciting enhancement that we feel our customers will really respond to,” said Dara Mir, President of 9to5 Seating.

The twelve new plastic colors will be showcased at NeoCon 2018, inside the 9to5 Seating showroom on the 10th floor, suite #109. The new plastic colors will be launching with other series in the 9to5 Seating collection Summer 2018.

Lilly, Luna and Neo Launches

We are excited to announce the launch of three new chair series to add to our task and lounge collections: Luna, Neo and Lilly.

The Luna and Neo are two additions to the task/work seating category, focusing on function, ergonomics and long-lasting comfort. The Lilly is the second lounge seating collection being introduced by 9to5 Seating. The Lilly focuses on classic sophisticated design and comfort for collaborative and public spaces.

“We listened to our customers and the marketplace and decided to expand our task and lounge collections. Based on our market research, the response to these new series proves that listening to our customers always works,” said Dara Mir, President of 9to5 Seating. “The quality, comfort, ergonomics and high designs make the Luna, Neo and Lilly great additions to our portfolio, but it’s the starting prices that makes them stand out from the competition.”

Chair Designer 3.0 Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of Chair Designer 3.0 to help contract furniture customers better plan for their projects.

This is a new iteration of Chair Designer 2.0, originally launched in May 2017. Dara Mir, President of 9to5 Seating explains, “We are excited to launch Chair Designer 3.0! Our team has worked tirelessly to further enhance our Chair Designer to meet the needs of our customers and Sales Reps. Our goal is to make our Chair Designer the best chair customizer and project spec tool within our industry.”

List of enhancements included in the launch of Chair Designer 3.0.:

  1. 2018 Price Book updates
  2. Users can login and maintain their user profile
  3. Users can now maintain their project history
  4. Users can upload their company logo to customize a bid
  5. Users will be able to manage their existing projects i.e. edit, remove, copy and re-download the project.
  6. Users will be able to save a project in progress or clear the project.
  7. Users will be able to specify custom price for each configured item.
  8. Users will have an option to include or exclude pricing information from the product specification pdf.
  9. Users can add tags/descriptions for configured chairs. If added, tags will also appear in downloadable project PDF
  10. Downloadable project PDF has opt-in to include a project summary
  11. Users can subscribe to the newsletter from Chair Designer

USC Viterbi Alumnus Feature

 

President Dara Mir, was recently featured in the Fall 2017 issue of the USC Viterbi magazine. Dara Mir, a 2002 Industrial & Systems Engineering graduate, shares the unique vertical integration story of 9to5 Seating and features the major reshoring effort we have focused on for the past five years.

“‘We’re bringing back manufacturing to the States,’ said Mir, whom Ernst & Young selected as a ‘2016 Entrepreneur of the Year’ for Greater Los Angeles.”

Navy BPA at 9to5 Seating

The U.S. Department of Navy (DON) has awarded 9to5 Seating a Blanket Purchase Agreement. The Navy’s Furniture BPA program went into effect October 1, 2017 and is set to expire in five years.

Department of Navy (NAVSUP FLC Norfolk) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA for D3 Inc. d/b/a 9to5 Seating): N00189-17-A-0014. 

9to5 Seating’s Furniture BPA pertains to the following GSA SINs: 711-18: Multi-purpose Seating
